It was a tweet I sent about committing to running at least one mile a day as inspired by a Runners World article that got me to sign up for my second 10k.
A colleague of mine saw the tweet and sent me a link to the Roosevelt Island Hot Chocolate 10K. He said the course was flat. I thought that was good enough and that I will be able to brave the cold.
Upon further reflection, I know I can barely stand to be in my house when a window is open and it’s cooler than 70 degrees. This could pose a problem. Brrr.
So, I will be forcing myself to run outside at least three days a week. Then, I will go to sleep every night hoping that we have a mild December.
I would love for anyone to give me some ideas on what to wear (so that I look adorable and stay warm) or ideas for training in the cold.
